Welcome!
Dear Neighbors,
I’m running for State Senate because I believe that the people of District 13 deserve to be represented by someone who understands what life is like for the working families who are struggling in this tough economy. I’m not a professional politician, I’m a citizen who has lived and worked in District 13 for 26 years, raised 3 children here, and worked hard all my life. My parents were not able to go to college but they knew how important education was for their children and they worked hard to be sure we had opportunities that they did not.
I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and I’m now running for office for the same reason. I know that our district and our state are facing difficult challenges and I think fresh ideas and new perspectives are what we need. Despite the struggling economy, our legislature has been able to accomplish some important goals but there is a great deal more work that needs to be done to build a strong Oregon for the future.
Special interests continue to have too much influence on some of our elected officials and it’s time for a new perspective on the important issues facing our district. Because a diversity of ideas is so important to solving problems, when elected I will listen to all the people of our communities and bring your perspectives with me to Salem. My door will be open to you and I will make a pledge to be available to my constituents first.
I hope you will take a look at my plan for Oregon. I want to hear your ideas and I encourage you to contact me at 971.570.1161 or timi@timiparker.com. Together, we can put Oregon back on track!
Sincerely,
Timi Parker
